TYPES OF MAGNETIC LIFTERS-CONVENTIONAL & ADVANCED
Magnetic lifters(lifting magnets) can be largely categorized into two: conventional magnetic lifter and advanced magnetic lifter. The conventional magnetic lifter is operated by rotating switch lever, while the advanced magnetic lifter is operated without switch lever. There are three types in conventional magnetic lifter: MEGAMAG & KPL series, SUPERMAG series, and EZ-MAG series. The advanced magnetic lifters are AUTOMAG series. Following is a brief introduction of each series.
CONVENTIONAL MAGNETIC LIFTERS
KPL SERIES & MEGAMAG SERIES
The original KPL series magnetic lifters were made of Ferrite magnets from 200kg capacity to 10ton capacity. In recent years, heavy capacity models have been separated to be called MEGAMAG. That is because lighter KPL models are disappearing from the market. With the emergence of Strong magnet magnetic lifter lighter models (under 1 ton capacity) of this type, KPL models became less popular than the Strong magnet type as Strong magnet type is stronger, smaller and light in weight..

SUPERMAG SERIES
Supermag models magnetic lifters contain Strong magnet ranging between 70kg and 1ton capacity. They are either for flat load only or for flat and round load. Standard models are limited to the ones for flat load only. However, any other model can be manufactured to the order of customer on a special tailor-made to order basis. The switch lever of Supermag series lifting magnets is locked in a safety latch when it is on, in the same way as that of the KPL series lifting magnets models is.

EZ-MAG SERIES
This type is the most advanced conventional type of magnetic lifters with a switch lever. Ergonomically designed, EZ-MAG's on-off mechanism works by pulling and rotating the switch lever on the stabilizer track and having it self-lock at the end tip of the stabilizer by releasing the lever. The secondary locking system works by turning the on-positioned switch lever inwardly for safe operation. The biggest advantage of this magnetic lifter is that the operator can manage the unit with only one hand with no need to hold the safety latch with the other hand to release the lever from the safety latch. All standard EZ-MAG magnetic lifters are for flat and round loads. Their capacity for flat load is higher than the SUPERMAG flat/round models without reducing the capacity for round load.

INNOVATIVE LEVERLESS MAGNETIC LIFTERS
AUTOMAG
This magnetic lifter has a fully automatic on-off mechanism. Ring magnets are rotated by the drum gear pulled by the vertical gear powered by the gravity of the weight of the magnetic lifter and adhered load.
The drum gear rotates in one direction and makes the shaft rotate half way around at every other turn of the drum gear. As the location of the vertical gear does not indicate the on-off position of magnetism, it has a separate on-off indicator. This magnetic lifter was developed ten years ago and has been seasoned through the years by correcting minor problems. The automatic mechanism consists of four stages (Refer to AUTOMAG fact sheet). The major advantage of this magnetic lifter is that remote control is possible without power. The model is available up to 5 ton capacity.
